Lovable is a Swedish “vibe-coding” platform that lets users build full-stack web apps and websites from natural language prompts. Founded in December 2023 by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, the company launched publicly in November 2024 and rapidly gained traction.
Its core functionality centers on a conversational AI-powered builder + code editor combo: users describe what they want in plain English, and Lovable’s AI handles front end, back end, database, authentication, deployment, and code refinement. This dramatically lowers the barrier to creating software, opening up app development to non-technical founders, solo creators, and teams without deep engineering resources.
On the business front, Lovable reached $100 million in ARR just eight months after launch, 4 months later, it reached $2M ARR, making it one of the fastest software companies ever to hit that milestone. In February 2025, it raised $15M in pre-Series A, and in July 2025 secured a $200M Series A led by Accel, valuing the company at $1.8B.
