CloudZero, a leader in proactive cloud cost efficiency, has announced a $56 million Series C funding round, following a year of triple-digit growth. This new investment aims to empower the company's mission to drive efficient innovation for cloud-driven organizations.

The Series C round was led by BlueCrest Capital Management and Innovius Capital, with participation from Matrix Partners, Threshold Ventures, Underscore VC, and G20 Ventures. Additionally, MongoDB made a strategic investment, highlighting the significance of CloudZero's role in the market.

The funds will be directed towards AI-driven research and development, expanding CloudZero's go-to-market efforts, and strengthening its partner ecosystem. This move comes as cloud spending is projected to reach $2 trillion by 2030, with AI workloads significantly impacting infrastructure needs.

CloudZero assists enterprises in scaling efficiently, improving unit economics, and staying ahead of the curve. The company's platform automates the collection, allocation, and analysis of cloud costs, uncovering savings opportunities and enhancing unit economics. CloudZero is trusted by industry leaders such as Coinbase, DraftKings, Expedia, Moody's, and Nubank.

“Organizations that optimize their cloud costs gain a competitive advantage, while those that neglect cost management risk limiting their growth and innovation,” said Michael Platt, founder and CEO of BlueCrest Capital Management.

CloudZero's CEO, Phil Pergola, emphasized the importance of understanding cloud unit economics for sustainable innovation, stating, “AI is redefining what's possible — but without a deep understanding of cloud unit economics, innovation becomes unsustainable.”

With the Series C funding, CloudZero plans to accelerate AI-driven cost analytics and forecasting, deepen integrations across developer and finance workflows, and expand strategic partners and cloud alliances.

“CloudZero is the only player in the market that truly understands [cloud business efficiency] and is actively innovating toward that broader vision,” said Benjamin Cefalo, senior vice president of product management at MongoDB.

This funding round positions CloudZero to continue pioneering a new standard for cloud cost optimization, providing companies with the precision needed to scale cloud and AI responsibly.
