Venice AI, a privacy-focused AI model platform, has achieved profitability and hit an annualized run-rate revenue (ARR) of $70 million just two years after its founding.

The company has attracted 850,000 unique visitors monthly and handles over 1.7 million API calls daily. Its growth drivers include feature parity with ChatGPT, offering an 'uncensored' AI experience, support for both open- and closed-source AI models, end-to-end encryption, and subscription-based privacy enhancements.

Backed by its first external fundraise, a $65 million Series A at a $1 billion valuation from investors like Dragonfly and Coinbase Ventures, Venice AI plans to enhance infrastructure by acquiring GPUs and building data centers to improve margins.

The company has also leveraged crypto tokens such as 'VVV' and 'DIEM' as part of its ecosystem, which contribute to user engagement but only account for about 8% of payment methods.
