PixVerse, a leading AI video company founded by Wang Changhu, has achieved a $40M ARR milestone, with roughly 80% of its revenue coming from overseas consumer subscriptions.
The company boasts 150 million registered users across 177 countries, with 15 million monthly active users. PixVerse recently raised $410M in Series C funding led by Alibaba, with participation from Mirae Asset, Zhongding Capital, and others, marking it as the largest funding round in China's AI video sector to date.
The company's innovative "world model" approach aims to redefine video editing and interaction through real-time natural language input.
Despite fierce competition from giants like ByteDance and Kuaishou, PixVerse is focusing on global markets to outmaneuver domestic competitors.
Alibaba's investment aligns strategically with its focus on e-commerce creative, advertising, and cloud-native video tools.
