Instinct, an AI personal assistant startup founded by 23-year-old Noah Shinn, has reached a $2.5 billion valuation just a year after its inception.
The company raised $250 million in a recent Series B round, co-led by Index Ventures and Benchmark, which brought its total funding to $350 million.
Currently in private beta, Instinct connects with users’ apps and devices and enables them to perform tasks like planning trips, managing subscriptions, and organizing events with simple texts or calls.
Despite its rapid rise and enthusiastic early adoption, concerns about privacy and data permissions have emerged as a point of contention.
The funding positions the company as a serious contender in the AI agents space, with strong user feedback and demand fueling its growth.
